it’s not about who can spend the most money on the other person.

i don’t care if you can’t spend all your money on me. i wouldn’t even want that. i don’t mind just hanging out and doing the simple stuff because all i really want is your company. it’s not about splurging on extravagant things, theres a time and place for that, like birthdays, holidays, and the actual anniversary. for the rest of the year, we can just hang out at each others houses and go to bargain tuesday movies for all i care. i couldn’t ask for anything more. i’ve got someone who sends me a good morning text every day before i wake up, someone who always tells me he loves me, someone who puts in just as much effort as i do in the relationship, someone that never fails to make me smile. where do i have room to complain? i dont. just because we choose to save our money for special occasions doesn’t make me any less satisfied with the way we are. so don’t worry because i am perfectly happy with this relationship, you, and everything we are.
